John Tabacco, MD

Biography

My practice offers a personalized approach to meet your unique needs and busy schedule. From crafting a personalized healthcare plan with you, to accommodating last-minute appointments, your well-being is my priority.

I have partnered with SignatureMD, a leader in concierge medicine, to offer a program that’s built on a close partnership between you and your doctor to help you achieve your health and wellness goals. As a member of my practice, you’ll experience a different approach — one that’s centered on you. I will be available when you need me, I’ll spend as much time with you as you need, and I’ll help you live your healthiest life using state of the art techniques and approaches such as bedside ultrasound exams during yearly physicals.

As a third-generation Medical Doctor, I grew up watching my grandfathers, uncles, and father care for patients at their family home for the communities they loved. I strive for this ideal of being available and offering care to the community I grew up in. Having conducted training in internal medicine at the University of Maryland/Union Memorial Hospital, I enjoy the internist role as a center of community health, fielding daily minor concerns as well as more pressing medical issues that occasionally involve a higher level of hospital care.

In order to care for all of my patients’ medical and physical concerns, I spent a year of fellowship training in the Navy medical education system at a highly esteemed position at Naval Hospital Pensacola/ Andrews institute to be able help patients with muscle and joint pains as they age, as well as to enhance nutritional goals. While Working at Naval hospital Pensacola I developed a passion for caring for service men and women and continue this through education of military first responders through my professorship at the George Washington school of Medicine. My goal is to keep all patients healthy and active through exercise and nutrition as they age. I continue to serve as an adjunct professor at GW University School of Medicine and Medical director for the GW university Athletic department. I have been honored by my peers as a Washingtonian Magazine Top Doctor over the past three years.
